As the Global Director, Telco Solutions at Aerospike, Shahed is in charge of driving new business and fulfilling the needs of existing customers from the telco and IoT/connected devices verticals. His role also includes exploring and leading strategic partnership discussions within the broader telco ecosystem encompassing 5G, Edge Compute/MEC, OSS/BSS, Subscriber 360 and telco cloud related topics. As a telco Subject Matter Expert (SME), Shahed works with Aerospike customer and partner teams across North America, EMEA, and APAC; regularly presents at webinars and conferences; and publishes blogs and thought leadership pieces on a wide range of topics related to Aerospike’s relevance in the Telco space. 
In his immediate past role as the Principal Strategist on the technology strategy team at CableLabs, Shahed contributed through data driven strategic analysis and financial modelling to assess new opportunities (and competition) for the cable industry worldwide. Shahed’s areas of expertise/involvement included wireless related topics such as 5G deployment economics in low/mid/high band spectrum, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis of HFC network as a backhaul/fronthaul solution and spectrum strategy and evaluation. His work also spanned across wireline, satellite broadband, telco cloud and network virtualization + convergence areas.
Shahed has a Master of Business Administration degree from MIT Sloan School of Management and he received his Master of Engineering and Bachelor of Engineering degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Tokyo, Japan. He speaks fluent Japanese.
